SMU isolation
Hello,
We need to isolate PXIe-4139 SMUs from +/- 50V signals used to drive the Gate and Source of MOSFETs being tested. The isolation will be How long does it take to isolate the SMUs? Is there a lifetime specification for the isolation relays? How are the isolation relays replaced, if necessary?

SHC68-C68-D4 pinout
Hi all.
I'd like to use a PXIe-6556 card with a SHC68-C68-D4 cable and I'd like to confirm the pinning on my board.
Do I have to use the same pinning than PXIe-6556 (probably not) or do I have to use a mirrored pinning (in 1 becomes pin 34).
Moreover, Ni propose only the footprint for the through connector (R-HS-008068-1B). Any issue if I use the SMD one (R-HS-008068-3) ?

I'm troubleshooting a project when switching a source code that have been developed with the 2013 version of LabVIEW to the 2015 Version.
These are the releases of the software and the drivers that i'm using :
- Labview 2015 with p3 patch
- NiVST 15.02
- Ni Sync 15.01
- Ni System Configuration Runtime 15.0
The vi Nisyscfg.lib:Findhardware returns the error -2147220623 with LabVIEW 2015 but it worked well with LabVIEW 2013 .
Does any developer experienced such problem when switching to the 2015 release of LabVIEW ?
Any suggestion for this problem would be appreciated .

about PXI system module hardware design(PXI_TRIG,PXI_LBR signals)
Hi, everyone
I want to design a PXIe system baord. From PXIe spec, I knew PXIe have some special signals, such as PXI_TRIG,PXI_STAR,PXI_LBR,etc.
I want to know how to connect these signals in my system board? Can I connect them directly to CPU's GPIOs?

Devices not showing up as present in NI-MAX
I am not able to see my devices as "present" that are installed in my PXI rack.
These used to show up as present but recently I performed some updates and now I can no longer get then to
show up as present.
With the rack off, if I start up NI-Max and do an F5 refresh this is what I see as listed devices:
If I turn the rack on and do an F5 refresh this is what I see as listed devices:
One PXIe-6341 is seen as present (but I am not able able to modify its name) and another PXIe-6341 is seen at the bottom of the
list as not connected.
What do I need to do in order to get these devices to connect so that I can use them?

Debugging of data acquisition code_Error on DAQmx control task
Hi guys, I am getting an error in DAQ when I perform debugging on the code. I am using 4330 and 6361 modules. I have attempted to synchronize the data by sharing the reference PXI clock and share a start trigger. The acquisition is finite. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

pxi automotive "analog in"
I'm trying to move our company's automotive testing into the 21st century - away from a mess of Measurement Computing and Dataforth modules and into NI PXI system.
Has anyone used PXI to read in 12 to 16 volts signals? At the moment, I can only find analog-input modules with +/- 10 volt range. Am I stuck running test signals into Dataforth modules to step-down into +/- 10 volt level?
How critical is the controller? Can I use a NI PXIe-1073 Chassis with PCI Express Controller and (3m) Cable for 1 millisecond resolution for data collection and control?

how to remotely control all PXI devices using PyVISA?

I am new user of NI and I'm trying to write test programs on PyVISA for NI PXIe systems.
I have succesfully connected to the remote VISA server using command like open_resource(TCPIP0::xx.xxx.xx.xxx::3537:: SOCKET) how can I see and control all devices which were installed in chassis? Also I can see several devices in VISA Interactive Control, however there is only PXI0::1::BACKPLANE and no other PXI components.

Thunderbolt ExpressCard Adaptor for ExpressCard-8360

ExpressCard Slots are getting rather rare on laptops these days.... so I was thinking about a plan B option... as have to assume NI wont have anything until their marketing announce something exists (Which is fair enough on R&D / Marketing / strategic plans etc)

Price seems resonable too at $170.
My understanding is that it does replicate the PCI Express 2.0 x1 at 2.5Gbs unlike the USB adaptors discussed in this thread (Which obviously won't work):

I don't have a laptop with thunderbolt to try myself as its still old enough (4 years) to have ExpressCard. But I am concered that when I do upgrade I will have very limited choice in ExpressCard laptops. It suits me doing development on my laptop and then deploying to PCs in production.

NI-5781 Baseband Transceiver and NI PXIe-7962R (FPGA)
I am looking for an example code to transmit video using OFDM in LabVIEW between two different PXI units. I am having two sets of NI-5781 Baseband Transceiver and NI PXIe-7962R (FPGA) installed in two separate PXIs. One is only transmitter and another is be only receiver.
Is there any example code to trasnmit video using these above mentioned devices preferably through OFDM in LabVIEW.

PXIe-1073 PCI Express standard Upstream Switch Port Error
Does any one know the fix for PXIe-1073 built-in PCIe controller Device driver error, PCI Express standard Upstrem Switch Port. Window 7 loads the driver for it but fail with error code 31. PCI Express standard Downstrem Switch Port drivers loads fine.

PXI Service Manager crashed
Hi,
I try to update our NI system from Labview 2009 to 2014 on Windows XP.
I installing Labview 2014 and a couple of drivers without any warnings or errors. But when I restart the system and wait ~1 minute in the Windows login screen, I get an error message regarding the PXI Service Manager.
As a next step I unistalled all NI programs. The error message did not shown.
I installed Labview 2014 14.0.0 and no error message at reboot.
I installed the NI-488.2 14.0.0 driver and I got the error again at the next reboot.
The error message is:
nipxism.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x675607bd" referenced memory at "0x0189ffd8". The memory could not be read.
I have attached the Windows error log.

Control of a USB power supply from a PXI running the real time engine
Hello,
I need to control an USB power supply from my real-time target (PXI) which has installed the Labview Real-time engine (no windows installation).
If I am not mistaken, this is not possible with the USB of the controller (NI PXI-8108) as I do not have windows installed to recognise the device. As far as I could see, it looks like I need to purchase a special card for the PXI which allows me to interact with USB devices.
Is there anyone who came across this sort of environment to know if this is the right approach?

PXI-8232 how do I change GPIB Device ID programmatically?
We build hundred of systems using multiple PXI-8232 cards. The cards are always installed in specific slots, and are cabled to different destinations. I have been able to figure out how to identify which card is which using the system configurator (version 15), and can set the network settings ok, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to change the GPIB device IDs to the correct order (i.e. from GPIB2,GPIB0,GPIB1 to GPIB0,GPIB1,GPIB2). I looked at exporting and importing the configuration with changes, but couldn't get it tor work for some reason. Am I missing something? Is there a registry hack to do this?

PCを用いてPXI-1042Q内のPXI-8360を制御させています。これまでPXI-8331を使用していましたが、ケーブルの調子が悪くなったためケーブルを新品にしてPXI-8331が新品ケーブルに対応していないためPXI-8331をPXI-8360に交換しました。交換後、これまでの様に制御させようとするとエラーコード201003が表示され制御が出来ない状態で困っています。どなたかアドバイス、助言をよろしくお願いします。
