and could not find it.
So what does it mean in detail when it says "AUTOMATICALLY_AFTER_SOURCE_COMPLETE".
Voltage increase < 0.1mV/s or something like this?
I need to read the voltage from a position sensing device at a rate of 500hz to 1 khz. That voltage signal will provide feedback for a PID control loop, so I need close to "real-time" voltage reading.
From what I can understand from the documentation, it seems like this device is meant for high rate of sampling, and it provides the frequency content of the signal provided to it. I'm just wondering if it can be used for the more simple case of analog voltage single sample in a timed loop.

I have a PXI-6220 measurement card and use the digital I/O channels as switches for logic level operations. Now I also want to measure some logic states over another DI/O port.
The status signal is 36V. My idea was to build a voltage divider so that Uout~4.5V (digital trigger between 2.5-5.2V). For the design I would also need the sourcing current, but I am unable to find it in the datasheet. Usually input sources are around 10-25mA. Below is my setup and calculation.
Can I do it like this? Where can I find the max current?

I'm setting up a PXI-1045 chassis for the first time on a new PC and I'm experiencing issues getting the PXI-5404 and PXI-5421 installed and working correctly. They are showing up in the NI MAX app, but they aren't re-nameable and the LEDs on the boards aren't showing activity. I went into the Device Manager in Windows and found that the drivers are having issues with Windows 10 (see images). I've attempted to repair the FGEN drivers in NI Package Manager as well as remove and reinstall the FGEN driver package.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently started receiving the following error msg and need help in resolving the issue. the error is:
ERROR - 1074115589 occurred at niHSDIO fetch waveform (1D U8).vi
Driver status: (Hex 0xBFFA4BFB) data requested has been overwritten in the device memory.
As i said I am an operator. The company who designed and installed the system no longer supports the system.
I need help in resolving the issue

In one of our setups I'm using PXIe-8820 controller, due to the W7 EOL I would like to upgrade OS to W10 and exchange the old HDD with SSD.
Does somebody have experience with this kind of upgrade on such an old device? What about the drivers they are available somewhere?

I have the PXI-6733 and PXIe-6341 installed into the chassis PXIe-1073.
I have installed the software and drivers. the chassis is connected to the PC through the PCIe-8361.
While in the device manager everything seems to be installed properly, in the NI MAX I see the PXI-6733 and PXIe-6341 have an error signal with the error code -88705 that indicates the device to be not installed properly.
note that I have been able to use another board installed in the chassis without any problem.
Can you please advice on what can be the problem? I have tried to install and reinstall the drivers through the DAQmx but with no success.

i am currently working on the 6683h Card( to be precise Timing Module for Synchronization).
Situation: I am able to follow up the ptp synchronization using 6683h module.... ie. GM-->Master-->Slave
Approach: i am trying to work on 802.1 AS Protocol (gptp) using same 6683h module.
Question: Is the card able to provide gptp(802.1 AS) synchronization, since gptp has some requirements and i am not sure if the card fulfills it. ?
if yes, could anyone suggest me a solution to above approach if the card is capable of 802.1 AS,

Now I have a PXI-1033 chassis with a PXI-5105 digitiser to get some samples/ real data. The NI-scope SFP works well now and it shows the waveform successfully.
May I know how to put the waveform from the NI-scope SFP to MATLAB?

we're in a early design phase of a measurement setup and are more or less selecting parts and checking if the things we need are feasible with the chosen ones. In this context, I have some questions regarding the backplane PXI_Trig lines:
Can the PXI_Trigger lines be reserved and driven by software (Windows 10 C/C++ application, not LabView) running on the NI PXIe-8840 QC controller to propagate to other peripheral modules? Use case would be a User GUI-Button triggering the sampling.
If so, can someone point me to some C/C++ examples?
If not, can at least the NI PXIe-8840's front panel trigger SMB connector be routed to the PXI_Trig bus on Windows (by now)?
Sorry, for those noob questions. I'm not yet familiar enough with the whole PXIe platform and can neither access some hardware to fiddle around nor the drivers to dig out some matching examples. Furthermore, I'm quite confused by partially contradicting and/or outdated information found in datasheets, manuals and knowledge base articles.
I'm aware that what we want to do (propagate the software trigger via the backplane) is probably solved best using a dedicated Timing Module. But most probably we cannot use one as we are quite strongly constrained to a single NI PXIe-1082DC chassis (i.e. no larger one or two-chassis-setup) and run out of slots due to number of other required modules.

I would like a PXI system that could measure 2 photodetectors at the same time, while supplying a current for driving a laser diode. The system should be controlled by a PC. What basic version can you suggest? My first thought would be couple of SMU's and a power supply, but there is quite a lot of models so i would like to know which ones are best suited for this task.

mein PXI System bootet leider nicht mehr. Ich habe den Verdacht, dass per ftp auf dem System Dateien gelöscht wurden.
Zur Fehlerbeschreibung:
Das PXI System PXI-8110 (mit PharLab von 2012) mit EtherCat Ring zeigt nach dem RT Bootloader bei folgendem Punkt:
"Datalight Reliance v2.10.1053"
den Fehler:
"Error! netstack.dll not found!".
Danach kommt die Fehlermeldung:
"Cannot initialize RT Timing Engine".
Meine Fragen:
Vielleicht hat jemand ein paar Tipps für mich. Danke schon mal fürs Lesen 😉

We are currently having the PXIe-1082 Chassis unit by NI and we are planning to use it along with a LabVIEW code to automate the blower speed control in our wind tunnel.
The objective is to change the speed of the blower via the LabVIEW code and NI DAQ using a controller or maybe without a controller.
I would like to know what different controllers would be compatible with this NI unit.

I'm using PXI-6528 relay output with Linux driver provided by CODAC/ITER.
I checked close->open and open-> close time.
Then, the open->close operation was simultaneously in us order.
But the operation close->open has about 100us delay between terminal.
i.e.) I set all open for Port 3 of PXI-6528 and measure the timing of open relay operation.
Then, there are delays between the terminals. For example P3.1 and P3.4.
Does anyone know whether the board has this kind of property?

I am having trouble installing a DMM in a PXIe-1085 Chassis....
The DMM, despite my best efforts, refuses to display under the PXI chassis tree in NI-MAX.
I have tried:
1) Removing all other PXI cards in the chassis
2) Installing the DMM in a different PXI slot
3) Installing the DMM in a different PXI chassis (same model)
4) Using a different PXI Remote Control Module
5) Resetting the Configuration Data (via the MAX tools menu)
6) Deleting pxisys.ini and pxiesys.ini files and rebooting
7) Updating NI-VISA (ver 19.1 to 19.5)
😎 Updating NI-DMM (ver 19.1 to ver 19.5)
I'm not sure what else to try. Has anybody else seen this?

I work with a PXIe 8821, and I use also TestInView to communicate with it.
With TestInView I can create a "Plan d'archivage", which saves in real time the value of each Input/Output.
Before, we had an older PXIe and everything worked well.
But with the PXIe 8821 we are unable to download data's. I assume it's due to the fact that we can't reach the ftp server with the user "admin" with no password.
If I go to the PXIe's adress, ftp://admin@172.16.... , the web browser doesn't let me access to data's. If I try with an other user, with password, it's works fine (But TestInView doesn't use this User).
Is it possible to deactivate the function which prevent me to reach the ftp server with user (admin in this case) without password?
