Error ocurred in MIG hardware
HI
I am running a LabVIEW application from many time ago without any problem, but this night the function generator at our PXI has started to fail.
Checking with the MAX, the following error appears when I try to do sef-test:
The self test failed.
Status Code: -239022
Internal Hardware Error occurred in MIG hardware. Please contact National Instruments Support.

PXIe-8133 Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade: things fell apart, am I an idiot?
Was I an idiot for trying to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10?
System: PXIe-8133 Controller in PXIe-1062Q Chassis... Keeping this simple with just a PXI-6514 Industrial IO plugin.
Was running Windows 7 and things were good. Upgraded to Windows 10 and things fell apart. NI MAX shows errors and does not see any of the plug-ins.
Ran Ni Package Manager and tried to "repair", with unit plugged into the internet, things chugged along for an hour and then she asked me to
"Select Distribution
National Instruments System Driver Set - May 2012".
I looked though the old CD's and found one labeled "NI PXI Platform Services for PXI chassis and controllers April 2012" with the nidist.id file on it. However selecting that sends me to a "Warning this is not a valid distribution location" error.
Question: was the Windows 7 to 10 move a bad idea? Or do I have the wrong "distribution disc"? Or am i just being stupid and missing something else?

PXIe-8880, windows 10 Keeps crashing randomly
Hello,
We have PXIe-8880, we bought new SSD and installed Windows 10 on it. After install is finished we keep getting random BSOD. The error is always the same: Critical_process_died and it cannot create a dump log (Dump is stuck at 0% and then restarts). After restarting from BSOD the SSD isn't visible in BIOS as bootable drive. We always have to shut down power and then reboot to get to OS.
I tried updating BIOS to newest version, installing all necessery drivers, I even tried reinstalling Windows to clean version without drivers but the problem keeps happening.
Has anyone seen similar issues?

Input imepedance of PFI ports (PXIe-6363)
I'm using SPCM-AQRH as a photon detector.
In our setup, The detector's output is ttl signal and this signal is counted by PXIe-6363 (PFI ports).
The detectors output impedance is 50 ohms.
In a manual of the detectors, the impedance should be matched to input impedance.
However, I couldn't find the input impedance of PFI ports. (I just found the analog I/O impedance.)
I would like to know the the input impedance of PFI ports.

About pxi remote control
I have the same connection as above.
In this connection, I did the following coding through Labview, but the error code 7 is displayed like under.
How can this problem be solved?

The PXIe-1084 chassis is not detected by NI MAX but devices on it are
Hello,
According to the documentation of the PXIe-1084 chassis, he should appear in the drop-down list "Device and Interfaces".
But it's not the case on mine ! It display devices plugged on it, though.
I want to be sure that is a normal/expected behavior.

PXI-6608 measure frequency
I have two stations, which use PXI chassis to measure the product's frequency inside a fixture.
The tricky thing is that, with same product, same fixture, the frequency measurement has a 5k gap or so.
Even if i swap the cable and PXI 6608 card, one of them still have a higher measurement.
Hence, i have a question, for the measurement of PXI-6608, need a reference clock from the chassis ?

how to power up PXIe1073 without toggling the Swtich in front of the chassis
I am using PXIe-1073 and PCI-PXI moduel PCIe-8361 to config my system, i want to know if it's possible to auto power up the PXI chassis without pressing the front switch?

PCI-6503 no longer sending signals to custom device after Windows update
I'm using a Dell Optiplex 790 with an NI PCI-6503 card in its PCI slot to send digital signals to a custom bridge. After a recent Windows 10 update, I'm no longer able to control my instrument. In Device Manager, I see that the device driver install (nisdigkw.sys) exited with status 0x0, which I assume means it did not install properly (?). I uninstalled the updates that Windows would allow me to, uninstalled the PCI device in Device Manager (so that it would reinstall on a restart), and restarted everything, to no avail. I cleared my hard drive and installed Windows 8.1 and reinstalled LabView, but I'm still not able to control my instrument (and I'm wondering if I'm missing something silly at this point).
I've attached a screenshot of what I see in NI max; it appears the device is recognized and I successfully created the task I need, but perhaps I'm missing something. We have an old computer in our lab running Windows XP with which I am able to control my instrument, but obviously this is not ideal (other software I use has changed significantly, and XP computers cannot even access our campus network).
Any tips for getting this up and running again? Any guidance would be much appreciated...

PXIe-8135 Can't Detect Hard Drive
I have a PXIe-8135 (with Labview RT) suddenly won't boot up. The BIOS show there is no Hard Drive. I take a known working HD from another PXIe-8135, plug into this one, It still not detect it. So it seems not HD failure, but PXIe-8135? Any body has such experience and how can we fix it?

Using PXIe-5423 to generate PWM signal
I am using the PXIe-5423 with a PXIe-8880 DAQ controller. I want to use the PXIe-5423 to output a PWM signal if possible; however, I'm unsure if this is possible or how to go about doing this. I'm interfacing with card solely through the nidaqmx python API.

PXIe 8880 - SSD disk format
Hello All,
I am new to NI. We have a bunch of PXIe 8880.
We are planning to upgrade the disks to SSD.
Is the disk is 1.8"micro SATA16 ( 7+7+2,connected to Micro SATA device)
I am looking for something like this to clone the disk before installing into the PXiE 8880

PXIe-1085 doesn' t turn on
Hi,
I have a PXIe-1085 Chassis and it was working fine 4 years ago as I can recall. Recently, I tried to press the front mounted power switch to turn on this chassis but it didn't have any response. The fans didn't work and the three LEDs near the power switch also didn't light up. Currently, this chassis is not connecting to other controllers.
Can anyone provide any suggestions to diagnose the problem?
I am thinking maybe I need to replace the power supply.

PXI-Card on a higher Slot causes bluescreens
Hello everybody,
i have an PXIe-1084 chassis with seven PXI-Cards installed. Last week i installed an eighth card (PXI-6514) at the eighth slot. After i switched the chassis on, my Laptop, which is connected via Thunderbolt to the chassis, crashes with a bluescreen.
I already tried:
- install all eight cards -> bluescreen
- install a different PXI-6514 -> bluescreen
- switch places with one of the old cards and the PXI-6514 -> bluescreen
- remove one of the old cards and install the PXI-6514 at the slot from the old card -> works
- remove one of the old cards and install the PXI-6514 at the ninth slot from chassis -> bluescreen
- check the current consumption of the cards -> far below of the limit of the chassis
- update NIDAQmx-Driver -> still bluescreen
So it seems evertime i install a PXI-Card in a higher slot then the seventh slot, i get a bluescreen. Its always the same bluescreen:
Has someone an idea how to fix this?

NI PXIe-1071, PXIe-8301, NI PXI-5922 incompatible con INTEL NUC10FNK
El sistema que tengo esta compuesto por:
1.-Carcasa NI PXIe-1071
2.-PXIe 8301
3.-NI-PXI-5922
El ordenador para comunicarnos con el sistema es el INTEL NUC10i7FNK, el cual dispone de un puerto Thunderbolt 3. Sistema operativo windows 10 pro.
Tras consultar varios foros e instalar los drivers de national (ni-pxiplatformservices_20.5.0 y ni-scope_20.0.0) y deshabilitar en la BIOS las opciones:
Intel Virtualization Technology.
Intel Virtualization Technology für I/O (VT-d)
El sistema no funciona.
El Ni smBUS controlller da error
Además lo curioso es que antes de intalar el paquete ni-scope_20.0.0 el "NI smBUS controller" no daba problemas
La verdad es que en este punto desconfío de que el problema sea que el sistema PXI configurado sea incompatible con Windows 10 o con el nuevo ordenador intel NUC10
Cualquier idea sería muy apreciada.

PXIe 1088 Chassis Error
Hi. I've having an issue with my PXIe-1088 chassis.
The problem is affecting the generation timing of the two PXIe-6570s in also in the chassis. Has anyone seen a serial number error like this?

PXI-1036 switching off at random moments
We have a PXI-1036 chassis (15y old) which turns itself off at random moments every few days. Anybody experience with this problem or ideas? When the on/off button is switched to standby and back on after a few seconds, everything is running fine again for another few days. Since this happens also during long remote measurements, it is inconvenient.
We have a PXI-5922 running in the chassis, which has a temperature control, indicating it is always around 39 degC, so overheating is unlikely. The problem can both occur when this ADC is idle or when taking data.

Counterfeit PXIe-1088 chassis
Hi all,
I'm having some issues with a PXIe-1088 chassis. NI MAX recognizes the chassis but I don't have full access to the controls, specifically the trigger settings. In addition, the serial number is readout is completely incorrect and the driver controlling it is unable to start in device manager.
After taking a closer look, the chassis doesn't visually match the images on the website and the manual, it looks more like a 1078 although it has the full pxie hybrid back plate, unlike the 1078.
I took off the top cover and I do see the NI logo and PXIe-1088 marked on the board so I'm not sure what the issue is.
